Green New Deal – Our Path to Progress

Take one economics professor, one founder of a non-profit, independent, educational media outlet, one Harrisburg activist and several local environmentalists, and what have you got? Talent, power and real life stories, blended with the knowledge of knowing how today’s economy works and the power of the people who fuel that economy.

Join Real Progressives as they bring together Steve Grumbine, MS, MBA and Founder of Real Progressives and Prof. Fadhel Kaboub, Ph.D., Associate Professor Economics at Denison University and President of the Global Institute for Sustainable Prosperity. Joy Marie Mann, host of Real Progressives’ weekly live stream, Savage Joy, will moderate the day’s program.

Speakers will discuss the facets of the Green New Deal, proposed US legislation aiming to address climate change and economic inequality, as well as economic reality today and how the actions of the Harrisburg community can coalesce the power of those who fuel the economy.

Be a part of the discussion with these experts as they present facts, not unfounded opinions. Learn how the Green New Deal and the Federal Job Guarantee can be paid for while interacting with the day’s featured speakers. It’s been done before and easier than you might suspect.

The day’s program has been arranged to provide the utmost opportunity for networking and one-on-one “getting to know each other.”

This event takes place on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 10 am to 3 pm at the Unitarian Church of Harrisburg, 1280 Clover Lane, Harrisburg PA, and is free and open to the public. Non-partisan groups from the area are welcome to table at this event and distribute literature by making a minimal donation to help with event expenses.

While lunch will be available for purchase, feel free to bring your own.
