The federal government never seems to have a shortage of funds when it comes to spending on war or corporate subsidies. We only hear the calls for ‘How do we pay for it?’ when it applies to helping the middle class, the poor, and our environment. In reality, all that truly matters is whether we have the resources.

As we know, America is the ‘richest’ nation in the world; we should never consider money to be a constraint. This tweet by Bernie Sanders addresses the situation:

Remember, money is an idea, not a commodity. In order to transform this society and the world, we need resources like labor, raw material, machines, and buildings.. Whenever anyone asks you ‘How to pay for it?’ please remember this tweet and tell them ‘It’s not about the money, it’s about the resources!!’ #LearnMMT
