Jen Perelman can talk about activism because she JENuinely walks the walk. (See what we did there?) She is deeply rooted in the people, history, and environment of South Florida. With a professional background that includes journalism and law, she has spent the majority of her adult life speaking and fighting for those who can’t do so for themselves. She ran for Congress in Florida’s 23rd District, trying to unseat Debbie Wasserman Schultz. She is currently working on the JENerational Change Podcast and spearheading JENCorps, her local volunteer service organization. Electoral politics, independent media, and community action – that’s the activist life.
