One year into Trump’s Second Term
Only the name has changed, the policies haven’t.
It is impossible to have an ideological discussion in good faith when people have been misled on the actual meanings of the terms in question.Â
The time has come to throw off the chains of wage labor and create a new society where the workers control the means of production.
Some readers might be offended by criticism of the US military, but nothing should be above critique. Some of the worst periods of human history occurred when people didn’t question authority or question the course their society was taking.
It is time for the progressive left to move beyond such hollow and aesthetic litmus tests and organize around policies and material improvements for the working class.Â
In the end, it is not the rage of our critics that we have to concern ourselves with. It is the silence of our friends that allow this anti-intellectualism to destroy people who have fought round the clock to bring these truths to life.
The challenging lesson from our history is that a deep well of strength and resilience are required for the long struggle to make equity and equality under the law a reality in the United States.
With this kind of leadership, it is no wonder the Democrats lost House seats in the highest turn out election of all time.
The ‘freedoms’ America was built on are the freedom to exploit water, land, humans, and the earth itself for the accumulation of inordinate wealth.
